When the RTF approves updates to measures and standard protocols, it also provides a signal of the reliability of those estimates or savings methodologies. If the RTF determines a measure is not sufficiently reliable, it will outline the data gaps and research needs required for a reliable savings estimate to be achieved.

The primary purpose of this subcommittee is to aid in the development of research strategies. These documents convey priority research questions and potential research paths to give the region a sense of the scope of research and expected lift. This subcommittee will also review any specific research plans in support of RTF measures or standard protocols and provide recommendation to the RTF on how that research could be leveraged to improve the reliability of savings estimates.

Subcommittee Supporting Materials

In the past, this subcommittee spent time scoping out regional research work. The results of that are in the Research Radar Spreadsheet . As bandwidth allows, the RTF may revisit and update the research radar tracker.
