Heat pump water heaters save energy by using ambient heat to raise the temperature of water, rather than relying solely on electric resistance heat such as with a conventional electric storage water heater.  This measure applies specifically to consumer heat pump water heaters replacing electric storage water heaters in commercial buildings.

Approve the Consumer HPWH in Commercial Applications UES measure as proposed, add Groceries into the the high use category, change measure life to ASHP measure, set the Category to Planning, adopt the Research Strategy as outlined. Set the status to Active. Set the sunset date to January 2021.
